Maintenance Hacks

Queen Esther Hair offers the best quality extension. However, proper maintenance is key to keeping our extension soft, tangle-free, and long-lasting. Here are some maintenance hacks to help you care for them:

Gentle Cleansing

  • Use a sulfate-free shampoo to avoid stripping natural oils from the hair.

  • Wash in lukewarm water using a downward motion to prevent  tangling.

  • Avoid washing too frequently. Once every 2-3 weeks is ideal unless product buildup occurs.

Deep Conditioning Treatment

  • Apply deep conditioner after each wash.

  • Leave it for 30 minutes to an hour, then rinse with cool water to lock in moisture.

Detangling Without Damage

  • Always detangle before washing using a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush.

  • Start from the ends and work your way up to minimize breakage.

  • If you're working with textured hair use a lightweight detangling spray for added slip.

Moisture & Hydration

  • Raw hair lack natural scalp oil, so apply a lightweight oil like our argan dry oil to keep them moisturized.

  • Avoid heavy product that can cause buildup and weight the hair down.

Heat Styling with Protection

  • Use a heat protectant before blow-drying, curling, or straightening.

  • keep heat tool at low to medium heat to prevent damage

  • Air drying is best way to preserve the natural texture.

Proper Storage and refreshing the Hair

  • Store in a satin/silk bag.

  • If you are wearing the extension, braid or twist the hair at night to prevent tangling

  • Sleep on a satin/silk pillowcase or wear a satin bonnet.

Hd Lace vs Transparent Lace

  • HD Laces/closures are extremely thin and soft, they melts seamlessly into the skin, creating a "no lace" illusion for a flawless installation.

  • Transparent laces/closures are slightly thicker than HD lace. They still blend well, especially after customization. They come in light shades which makes it easier to tint them to any skin tones.

Single Drawn vs Double Drawn weft

  • Single drawn weft are made with natural length variations, meaning some strands are shorter than others. Fuller at the top and thinner towards the ends which mimics natural hair growth pattern.

  • Double drawn weft are manually sorted so most strands are the same length. The volume is consistent from root to tip.
